Course Details

• Understand the biophysics behind laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technologies
• Follow Australian and New Zealand standards for laser and IPL
• Identify, limit and control safety risks and hazards
• Complete reports and documentation on safety policies in the workplace
• Research different laser and IPL devices
• Choose the appropriate laser and IPL devices and safety eyewear for the wavelength in use

Pre-Requisites

• Nil. There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.

Entry Requirements

• Age: Minimum Age 18 Years old
• Education and Experience: Year 10 or equivalent
• Students are encouraged to apply online or visit college for a Course Entry Interview: Participate in a course entry interview to help determine whether the course is the right fit for you, and to identify your individual needs and goals before the course begins.
• Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) quiz link will be emailed to the student, which you must complete before enrolment can be finalised.

• Anyone is interested in starting your own beauty or laser and IPL clinic or business.

• Anyone is interested in working in the beauty or laser and IPL industry.

Course Duration

This course is blended delivered as a 1-day intensive face-to-face sessions, combined with online pre-study and theory and practical studies. The full course, including all studies and assessments, must be completed within 3 months of enrolment.

Flexible Class Dates

Blended delivery: Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm

Days are flexible, arranged at interview appointment.

Please note: BeautyPlus Academy does not currently offer VET Student Loans (VSL). All students, regardless of residency status, are subject to the full tuition fee. Flexible instalment payment plans are available — please contact us for details.

Flexible Learning

Flexible learning allows students to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule, providing students with the autonomy to manage their time and learning style in a way that suits their individual needs and goals. Additionally, attendance at campus is available one day or three days per week to accommodate students varying schedules.

• Exposure to industry professionals and access to a network of peers.

Post Graduate Pathways

After course Completion

Please note: your course is marked as complete once your certificate has been issued by BeautyPlus Academy. At that point, your account access is paused after 14 days so we recommend downloading any additional resources beforehand. This ensures you have everything you need for future reference.
