Course Details

• Understand the biophysics behind laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technologies
• Follow Australian and New Zealand standards for laser and IPL
• Identify, limit and control safety risks and hazards
• Complete reports and documentation on safety policies in the workplace
• Research different laser and IPL devices
• Choose the appropriate laser and IPL devices and safety eyewear for the wavelength in use

Pre-Requisites

There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.

Entry Requirements

• Age: Minimum Age 18 Years old
• Education and Experience: Year 12 or equivalent
• Students are encouraged to apply online or visit college for a Course Entry Interview: Participate in a course entry interview to help determine whether the course is the right fit for you, and to identify your individual needs and goals before the course begins.
• Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) quiz link will be emailed to the student, which you must complete before enrolment can be finalised.

Flexible Class Dates

Blended delivery: Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm

Please note: We do not accept international students. If you are a permanent resident, you are not eligible for VET Student Loans and are subject to the full tuition fee.

Days are flexible, arranged at interview appointment.

Flexible Learning

Flexible learning allows students to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule, providing students with the autonomy to manage their time and learning style in a way that suits their individual needs and goals. Additionally, attendance at campus is available one day or three days per week to accommodate students varying schedules.

• Strong specialist knowledge of laser and IPL technologies and information to consider as a clinic owner.
• The ability to research skills to choose the most suitable laser and IPL devices.
• A good understanding of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to use depending on device wavelength.
• Exposure to industry professionals and access to a network of peers.

Post Graduate Pathways

Will you be completing the Beauty Diploma, Advanced Diploma of Laser & IPL or other short courses? You may be eligible a College Scholarship program when you apply for any of our courses (exclusive online). Please contact our academy admin for further details.

• Credit towards a full diploma qualification
• A pathway to further study in laser therapy

After course Completion

Please note: your course is marked as complete once been issued your certificate by BeautyPlus Academy. At that point, your account access is paused after 14 days so we recommend downloading any additional resources beforehand. This ensures you have everything you need for future reference.
